Suitable clothing
When you’re travelling as a backpacker, a lot of things become irrelevant and you merely focus on the must-haves that keep you safe, warm, and generally looked after. So technical travel clothing designed for women does just that in the fashion department. They design clothes that are made with all the right kind of materials that you need to keep your body temperature right. As well as being waterproof if and when you have that unpleasant rain for a few days.
A map
Of course, we all have navigation systems on our phones nowadays, and you can certainly rely on that, but it’s always a good idea to just bring a real paper map with you too just in case anything were to happen to your phones. Plus, you may actually find it a lot more exciting as you have to almost play a puzzle in order to understand a map if you’re not already that familiar. Another good reason for having one is so that you can visibly cross off places you’ve been that were on your list.
Some tools
You will always need tools, and these come in all different forms. From torches, to fire starters, to knives, rope, carabiners, and of course a first aid kit too. You can tend to find many places that sell all of these essential pieces of equipment together. But the more advanced you get, the more you will want to pick out your own unique equipment as you’ll know how to properly use it later down the line, which all adds to the fun of being an explorer.
